Independent Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator

Biography

Hello Crafters!

Welcome to my Blog! I am happy that you are here to learn all about the art of paper crafting. I truly enjoy paper crafting and am happy to share it with you.

Creativity and art have always been a part of my life. As a child, crayons and colored pencils were my avenue for artistic expression. As I grew older, I expressed myself through music performance and poetry. With the poetry, I started to experiment with different mediums to illustrate the poetry. I used watercolors, chalks and even nail polish! Then one day at the college bookstore (late 80s) I was browsing and some rubber stamps caught my eye. I bought a few stamps and some ink pads. I stamped stationary, cards, books, journals. I stamped everything! Then college ended and then "real life" began.

With "real life" came "real work" and my creative side was slowly pushed out of my life. Life was dull and dreary. Work, work, work. Then came computers. And I found another creative outlet. By the mid 90s, I had made my first (of many) personal website. By the late 90s, I met my husband online, just at the start of the online dating craze.

We were married in 1999 and shortly thereafter we were expecting. My cousin invited to a Stampin' Up! workshop and at that workshop decided that I was going to stamp my baby announcements. Once I got back into stamping, I was hooked.

It was decided that I wouldn't go back to work and that I would stay home with the kids. First came Kevin in 2000, then Michaela in 2002, then Kyle in 2003 and then finally McKenna in 2005. I finally became a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in August of 2005. Since then I have also become a Taste of Home Entertaining Consultant, http://michellepfischer.tohe.com.

I love the fact that I am fortunate enough to stay home with the kids. I help them with their homework, take them to scouts, ballet, sports camp, science camp, etc. I volunteer in their classrooms. I take them to school and pick them up. Because my time is my own, I can work in time for both Stampin' Up! and Taste of Home Entertaining. The friends I have made through both businesses have been absolutely amazing. The money isn't so bad either!

My family blog was started right before the new year of 2005, and I've kept up with it since. This blog is currently my third remake of my Stampin' Blog. I am excited to grow my blog and enhance my Stampin' Up! business.

Thanks for taking the time to read a little about me! Feel free to contact me for all your paper crafting questions or to place an order!
